About
The mint Cubans grow for mojitos — milder and less menthol-forward than spearmint, with a softer, sweeter aroma.
Growing
Spreads aggressively via underground runners. Plant in a buried container or its own bed unless you want mint everywhere. Pinch tips often to keep it bushy.
Harvest
Snip stems 4–6 in long just above a leaf node any time, choosing bright, unblemished young growth near the tips for the sweetest aroma. Harvest in the morning once the dew dries. Flavor peaks just before flowering. Bring a few sprigs indoors over winter for fresh mojitos year-round.
