Long yellow tapered pepper that ripens orange → red. Medium heat (~5,000–10,000 SHU).
Growing
Heavy producer. Sometimes confused with the sweet banana — these bite back.
Harvest
Pick at 5–6 in. Harvest waxy pale-yellow for medium heat, or let it ripen through orange to red for sweeter and hotter pods. Choose firm, smooth, glossy fruit and cut with shears. Great pickled.
