About
Crisp edible-pod peas eaten whole. Sweet, snappy, and great fresh off the vine.
Growing
Direct-sow early — peas tolerate frost. Need a trellis 4–6 ft tall. Done by early summer heat.
Harvest
Pick at 2.5–3 in when the pods are plump, rounded, and bright glossy green but still tender. Choose pods that snap crisply; harvest before they dull or develop a waxy look (signs of over-maturity and starchiness). Pick daily for best quality.
